Property & Evidence

The Property & Evidence Unit is responsible for receiving, documenting, storing, and maintaining the security of all property and evidence collected by the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office. Every item is carefully packaged, labeled, and tracked in accordance with established procedures to ensure accuracy, safety, and integrity throughout the chain of custody.

Property releases are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please call the Property & Evidence Unit 530-668-5280. Items are released only to the rightful owner or an authorized designee with valid government-issued photo identification (driver’s license, ID card, or passport).
