Inmate Visitation and Communication Services
The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office encourages ongoing family visitation and communication with inmates. Maintaining strong personal connections supports inmates’ mental well-being, encourages positive behavior during incarceration, and lays the foundation for successful reintegration into the community. The Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to fostering these vital relationships, which have been shown to reduce recidivism and improve public safety.
Phone Calls
All inmates, whether in booking, intake, or in their permanent housing unit, will have reasonable access to wall-mounted telephones. Specific times vary based on time of day, location, classification level, and facility operations. Once inmates reach permanent housing, they may have access to an inmate tablet, which allows them to make phone calls.
Current Rates & Funding
Domestic phone rates are currently $0.07 per minute, excluding any applicable local, state, and federal taxes.
International calling rates vary depending on the call’s destination, plus $0.07 per minute, excluding any applicable local, state, and federal taxes.
Friends and family may deposit funds into an inmate’s trust account through AccessCorrections.com (deposit fees vary depending on deposit amount), which can be used on phone calls or any other purchases at the inmate’s discretion. Alternatively, friends and family can register for and load a pre-paid account with the vendor by visiting ICSolutions.com or by calling 1-888-506-8407. These funds will only be spent when the inmate calls the designated phone number(s). ICS deposit fees may apply.

In-Person Non-Contact Visitation
Remote Video Visitation (From Home)
Staying connected with your loved one has never been easier. The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office offers video visitation, allowing family and friends to visit remotely from the comfort of their own home.
Current Rates: $3.00 per 30-minute visit
On-Site Free Video Visitation
The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office offers free on-site video visitation at the Monroe Detention Visiting Facility, providing families and friends another way to stay connected with their loved ones.
Digital Messaging
Inmates may send and receive messages using facility tablets or kiosks.

Yolo County Sheriff's Office Professional Registration & Scheduling Process
To set up a new professional account as an attorney, please follow these steps:
- Go to https://icsolutions.com/ and set up a personal account.
- Email records@yolocounty.org a copy of your government issued I.D. along with your bar card.
- When we receive your email, we will adjust your account to professional status and email you back informing you are now able to schedule attorney visits.
- If possible, appointments must be scheduled 24-hours in advanced. Responses will be during normal business hours.
