The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement services and community support to the unincorporated areas of Yolo County, including the communities of Brooks, Capay, Clarksburg, Dunnigan, Esparto, Guinda, Knights Landing, Madison, Rumsey, Yolo, and Zamora. Our deputies are committed to maintaining a safe environment for residents, businesses, and visitors to live, work, and enjoy the county’s many recreational areas.
The Patrol Division utilizes modern technology, training, and
equipment to deliver responsive and effective public safety services. Our responsibilities include:
- Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service
- Investigating reported crimes
- Providing proactive patrol and crime prevention
- Supporting community events and outreach
- Assisting residents and visitors in need
The Patrol Division consists of 37 deputies, organized into day and night teams, the Capay Augmented Patrol team, and our Resident Deputy Program. The unincorporated areas of Yolo County are divided into five geographic patrol beats, which are staffed 24 hours a day to ensure continuous coverage and rapid response.
